Welcome to the Academy of Performing Arts! We are your one-stop activity center. We offer the highest quality in dance, music and acting lessons! With hundreds of students (ages 2 thru adult) in Oak Creek, Franklin, and the greater Milwaukee area, we are the fastest growing dance, music, and acting school of its kind in our area.

We offer dance lessons, music lessons, and acting classes, in Oak Creek and Franklin, WI and also serve the greater Milwaukee and Racine area! There are several Dance, Music, and Acting Studios in Milwaukee and Racine and we want to let you know why we are the right place for you!

We are a privately owned school that was founded in 2005 and serves the greater Milwaukee and Racine area. When we started, we rented a smaller space in Oak Creek only a couple minutes away from our current location. As our enrollment got larger, we knew that our studio would also have to expand. We built a brand new state of the art facility in Oak Creek and moved into this location in March of 2008. Our most recent addition, is our second location in Franklin, located in the Frankin Centre at 7221 S. 76th St. This location will be open in September 2012.

When we first opened our doors in 2005, we only offered dance classes. With our new studio being over 8,700 square feet we had room to expand our services that we offer. Now we currently teach dance, acting and private music lessons. In addition, we also have a state licensed fine arts & academic preschool. We have 3 large dance studios, 3 private music rooms, an acting room and a preschool classroom. Click the picture link above to take a virtual tour.

We teach a variety of dance classes such as, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and poms (see below to see age requirements for each type). Our private music lessons start at age 5. We offer private one on one lessons for piano, voice, guitar, violin. We also offer beginner summer group piano classes for ages 4-6. Our Acting classes are offered for children grades K-12th.

As a parent, we know that you have many choices when choosing a dance, music or acting school in the Oak Creek, Franklin, or the greater Milwaukee area. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities; in addition, we provide ongoing training to our staff to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best experience possible.

Types of dance we offer for each age group:

• Ages 2-3 - Parent & Tot Creative Movement Class (30 minutes/week)
• Ages 2 ½ -3 – Pre-Ballet (45 minutes/week)
• Ages 3-4 – Pre-Ballet, Pre-Ballet & Tap Combo, Tumbling, Boys Hip Hop & Tap Combo (45 minutes/week)
• Grades K-1st – Ballet, Poms, Ballet & Tap Combo, Tumbling, Hip Hop Jrs., Boys Hip Hop
• Grades 2nd-5th – Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Poms, Hip Hop
• Grades 5th-8th – Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Poms, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Stretch & Strength
• Grades 9th-12th Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Stretch & Strength

Music Lessons for ages 5-adult: Piano, Voice, Guitar, Violin

We want all of our students to feel special each and every time they walk into our facility. In addition to teaching our students life-long skills in dance, music, and acting, we celebrate birthdays, holidays and special occasions! The Academy also offers a free Student Appreciation day for our students and their immediate families.

It is so important for our children to be involved in activities they can be proud of! Our goal at The Academy is to help the kids in our community develop high self-esteem in a positive atmosphere. Kids with high self-esteem grow into healthy and strong young adults! Everybody wins!
